Primary Purpose:

As our representatives in the field this position will often be the face of GCS to our clients. GCS specializes in commercial and residential remodeling and restoration. Our projects include custom remodeling jobs as well as fire, flood, wind restoration, mold remediation and roofing. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the project managers as our main goal is to bring relief and a sense of pride to our customer’s through quality, efficiency, honesty and the knowledge in which your work is performed.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • It is your responsibility to be at work on time and prepared to work when scheduled. There are times when our meeting arrangements will change based on when or where our projects are located. There is no tolerance for tardiness or your failure to be at work without valid reason.
  • Most work performed is labor oriented. The ability to bend, squat crawl, climb and reach to perform your work will be necessary.
  • Proper understanding and safe use of handheld power tools is expected.
  • Green Construction provides all the tools and equipment necessary to complete any task that is required. We require that each employee provide and maintain their own hand tools.

We want our production team to begin the project with an already-satisfied client.

Position Overview

The insurance salesperson reports to a restoration sales manager and is responsible to complete the sales process and provide details to the estimator sufficient to move the job towards production. This includes obtaining pertinent information, photos, insurance claim number and company, adjuster info if known, details.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Receive leads and respond in a timely manner (mitigation within 15 minutes and restoration within 1 hour).
  • Set appropriate expectations for the customer for our process and expected time frames, providing supplied documentation for our mitigation work flow or explaining our process and stages that they will experience.
  • Hand drawn sketch or some technology enabled sketch to provide to the estimators.
  • Maintain communication until handed off to an estimator.
  • Expected to keep all pertinent information in CRM/Slack updated until hand off to estimator.
  • Communicate back to the business development team on progress of a lead.
  • Explain with some working knowledge the nature of the claim and details to the client, setting appropriate expectations of the claim.
  • If the lead comes from a carrier, ensure notes and compliance tasks are complete in their respective program.
  • Finalize the sales process by an introduction via email (text if email is not possible) to the estimator.

This includes obtaining pertinent bids from vendors and subcontractors, creating a detailed Xactimate estimate, negotiating with insurance carriers for scope and valuation, and keeping the client informed every step of the way.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Take over a project once sales has secured a signed contract from a customer and has provided all necessary measurements and/or documentation
  • Maintain weekly communication with assigned clients
  • Expected to keep all pertinent information in CRM updated
  • Obtain bids/pricing from subcontractors and suppliers for the project, as necessary.
  • Create a sketch & estimate in Xactimate format following company guidelines and policies
  • Submit estimate to the client’s insurance company and provide adequate documentation for scope to justify payment
  • After the insurance estimate is agreed upon and funds are secured, hand off project to sales to meet with the customer to walk through scope, pricing and project details. (Our selections coordinator will work with the client to finalize selections within the budget at a later date.)
  • After the project is scoped, designed and priced, prepare a written budget and present it to sales for follow up
  • Bid on all roofing projects in the roof marketplace portal

Roofing Project Coordinator

Primary Purpose:

Green Construction Services specializes in commercial and residential insurance restoration & roofing. Our projects include fire, flood, storm & mold remediation, roofing & custom remodeling projects. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the production team with our roofing projects from permitting to completion.

Position Overview:

A roofing superintendent is responsible for delivering and returning material, checking job sites for cleanliness and that all work is being completed per the approved specs and per GCS expectations, and meeting with customers and trade partners as needed. They should have a working knowledge of what it looks like to instill confidence & peace of mind to all our clients and to keep this mission at the forefront of your mind.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver materials to jobsites, including shingles, plywood, drip edge, etc.
  • Pick up and return left over materials following completion
  • Utilize the project management tools Slack and Builder trend to upload pictures and document projects as required.
  • Inspect job sites for progress and cleanliness
  • Meet with clients to obtain NOC’s, COS’s. collect payments, and answer questions as needed
  • Deliver documents to municipalities as needed to aid in obtaining permits

  • Expected to keep all pertinent information in CRM updated

  • Create a written estimate in Xactimate format following company guidelines and policies
  • Submit estimate to the client’s insurance company and provide adequate documentation for scope to justify payment

    High school diploma (or GED), plus four (4) to five (5) years of experience in cleaning / restoration industry or associate (2-year) degree in business-related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the restoration industry. Team leader or supervisory responsibility experience preferred.
  • Financial Reports and Budgeting
    Basic understanding of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and budgeting. Ability to review completed job costing, assess performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Skills
    Advanced technical skills, experience and certification in the restoration services the company provides.
  • Mathematical Skills
    Adequate math skills. Able to quickly and effectively translate remaining work into manpower planning, project completion times, and review and assess labor time reporting. Effectively project job costs based on work remaining.
  • Computer Skills
    Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of computers and computer software, especially MS Word and Excel. Experience with Xactimate software is a plus.

Overall View:

A construction superintendent is a person who plans and ensures the coordination of construction projects. He/She has the responsibility of supervising the overall construction project(s). He/She ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and working along with the project manager, that the budget is followed as planned. He/She is entitled with the total supervision of all the operations on site. He/She ensures that the workers are implementing what is on the design plan. He/She monitors the workers and the progress of the project and reports to the project manager as well as directly to the homeowner. He/She is held liable of any happenings at the construction site and see to it that the project is completed on time and that the laid down standards are met.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Being onsite to oversee the construction process.
  • Ensuring that the budget is followed in terms of purchases and wages.
  • Organizing the workers and ensuring that they are performing as required.
  • General inspection of the workers and their performance and safety.
  • Works with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the site and regulations.
  • Follows the project construction process to ensure that it is completed on time.
  • Supervises the trade partners and ensures that they are punctual and that they deliver a quality product.
  • Uploads daily project updates and photos in company software on every job being supervised.
  • Identifies and solves problems that may arise onsite.
  • Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
